Yes, you can purchase mouldings at your local Rona store; we offer a wide range of colours under the DuraClic and ProSelect brands. Mouldings are 94.5” (2400mm) long, and available in 2 profiles:
· Bullnose: use to finish the floor where it meets the top of the stairs, as well as for finishing each stair tread if you are using flooring to refinish your stairs.
· 3 in 1: Use as a reducer, end cap or T-moulding.

Yes, 100%. Simply wipe up any spills with an absorbent cloth.

DuraClic floors are finished with a DurAlOx®SupperMatt UV cured poly urethane finish that contains Aluminum Oxide for enhanced scratch and wear resistance.

Installation

Yes, two general types of systems are approved:
o Circulating warm water
o Imbedded (in cement) electric systems.
o The system temperature must not exceed 28°C or 82°F.

Yes, they need to be glued down, use one of the adhesives listed in the installation guide. The temperature must not exceed the following temperature range on a year-round basis: 0°F to 90°F (-18°C to 32°C).

No, DuraClic floors are only intended for indoor installations.

Yes, however, the existing floor must be smooth and flat. If you are installing over top of tile or stone, you do not need to fill the grout lines. Any broken tiles should be glued or patched. Follow the steps and requirements noted in the installation guide.

Yes, they are approved for installation in light commercial and office applications. The floor must be glued down since the traffic volume and performance demands of the floor are more intensive.

Yes, follow the steps below:
o Follow all the requirements noted in the installation guide.
o The floor must be glued directly to the wooden sub-floor (plywood or OSB) or concrete.
o Use one of the following approved vinyl floor adhesives and follow all of their instructions:

No, leave a 10mm (3/8”) expansion gap around all walls, cabinets, islands and other vertical surfaces.

We do not recommend this since the floor needs to be able to expand or contract slightly with seasonal temperature changes. Install the floor up to the front support legs/feet of the appliance.

No, using a second under-pad will cause excessive deflection and movement of the floor that will cause damage to the locking system that can ultimately cause the profiles to break. Using a second under-pad can also cause the planks to become unlocked, causing gaps in the floor.

Yes, be certain to follow all installation requirements for both the DuraClic® floor and the DMX membrane regarding general installation and the site / subfloor requirements.

Yes, follow all recommendations in the DuraClic installation guide, as well as the installation guide of the panel manufacturer.

Yes, our floors are waterproof and may be installed in a bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms etc. Install your toilet over top of the planks, however make sure to drills holes for the mounting screws that will respect the 3/8” gap required for all the vertical surfaces.

No, leave the pre-attached underpad on the product. Use one of the approved full-spread adhesives listed in the installation guide.

Our floors may be installed directly on the concrete slab. We recommend you first install a 6 mil poly sheet (vapour barrier) to block humidity transfer from the concrete. Note that most concrete subfloors (slabs) are not flat and must be leveled before installation. Verify the slab and level if necessary with a self-leveling cementitious leveling compound.

If the distance exceeds 60 feet (18m) on length or 30 feet (9m) in width, separate the areas using a T-moulding or install the product by glue-down method as indicated in the installation guide.

Yes, vinyl floors will naturally contract and expand slightly from daily and seasonal temperature fluctuations. A 10mm (3/8”) expansion gap is required to allow the floor to float freely.
Care and Maintenance

Yes, scratches can be minimized by one of the following methods:
o Minor scratches: Apply a drop or two of vegetable oil to the scratch and rub it into the scratch, remove all excess oil with a tissue.
o More serious scratches can be touched up using a clear-coat touchup pen; they are sold by:

Use a “hardwood or vinyl floor cleaner” such as BONA® or SWIFFER® brand or similar “non-surfactant type floor cleaner. Avoid using other types of floor cleaning products, as many will leave a residual film on the floor that will leave a dull finish.

DO NOT use abrasive products, bathroom cleaning products, ammonia based products, wax based polishes/cleaners, acrylic finishes, acidic or vinegar based solutions, oil soaps, detergents, chlorine based products, bleach, solvents or any type or polishes. The use of these products may permanently damage the finish of your floor and may void the warranty.
